Regional Leadership Workshops

Regional Leadership Workshop

These trainings are offered twice a year free-of-charge in different locales.

The topics offered at each gathering are determined by partner input and have included sessions on fundraising, leadership development and youth engagement.

Resourceful Communities works to create a welcoming atmosphere for learning and technical assistance. In addition to exploring topics with resource experts, partners learn from each other and take home “lessons from the field” as they engage community members in their projects.

Regional Leadership Workshop

More than 350 community leaders attended workshops this year. As one partners told us, “these trainings are fun, and we learn lots about everything that helps us make a difference.”

Project Spotlight

Resourceful Communities has helped partners establish NC's first community forest on a 532-acre parcel in Hoke County. Community forestry engages local partners in planning, management and stewardship. Adjacent to forestlands with the second largest US population of the endangered red-cockaded woodpecker, this community forest will restore habitat and provide economic, recreational and educational opportunities and more.
